In recent years, robot-assisted surgery with the daVinci® system has opened up new dimensions of operating for us and has now become a permanent fixture in our operating rooms.
The added value of surgery with the daVinci lies in the reduced strain on patients due to smaller incisions, as well as in the excellent overview of the operating field for the surgeons.
Robotics is an integral part of our treatment spectrum: surgical education and training, as well as research in this area, is therefore correspondingly important.
